Volvo V40 confirmed for Geneva

Volvo will reveal the all-new V40 hatchback at this year's Geneva Motor Show. The new model will compete against the Lexus CT 200h and the BMW 1 Series.
The Volvo V40 will be offered with a range of engines - highlights include a diesel that produces emissions of 94g/km and a petrol that is capable of 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, called the T5.
All engine options will come with stop/start brake energy regeneration as standard.
The V40 will also feature an impressive range of safety features including Volvo's Pedestrian Detection system with full automatic braking and the world's first pedestrian airbag. Park Assist and a lane changing alert device known as Lane Keeping Aid are also available.
The V40 will enter production in May 2012 at Volvo Car Corporation's plant in Ghent, Belgium.
